Welcome to the West Virginia Republican Assembly!

The West Virginia Republican Assembly is a grass-roots volunteer organization chartered by the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. The WVRA is founded to promote conservative principles within the Republican Party.

The Republican Assemblies have a 70 year history of success as a true grassroots organization. Originally established by the California Republican Assembly, in 1934, it is the nation’s oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization.

President Reagan said that the Republican Assembly is, “The Conscience of the Republican Party.” Based upon the very successful California Republican Assembly model; WVRA is the West Virginia Chapter of this great nationwide organization.

WVRA is dedicated to responsible social, fiscal and domestic legislation; to a strong national defense; to the protection of the rights of life, liberty and property; to the preservation of our constitutional freedoms; and to equal opportunity for all through unrestrained support of the free enterprise system.

Ronald ReaganWVRA is dedicated to working within the Republican Party to promote the active participation of our members toward the endorsement, support, and election, of principled conservative Republican candidates.

“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs, which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell numbers….. And if there are those that cannot subscribe to these principals, then let them go their way.” –Ronald Reagan.

Our membership is comprised of active political, religious, business and community leaders: A powerful political force of concerned citizens who come together to contribute their talents, ideas and resources in pursuit of a conservative goal.

Benjamin Franklin“A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.” - Benjamin Franklin

We are a non-profit political organization, the same form and legal structure as the College Republicans, the Young Republicans, The Federation of Republican Women, and other Republican Clubs. We also have a registered PAC to help support those conservatives we endorse, and a national 501c3 tax-deductible charter for our educational efforts.

We strongly encourage you to join the WVRA.

“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who won’t do anything about it.” - Albert Einstein
